Self-care is the necessary care and love for yourself. Everyone deserves to be loved by themselves. Brooke EldridgeStaff Writer May 9,
Hours of homework. College applications… Being a teenager is hard work. I have listened to young women share the common struggle to balance increased responsibility and expectations for high performance.
Self-care is anything you enjoy doing that helps make you happy and maintains your physical, mental or emotional health. It's when you take the time to take care of yourself. It can be simple everyday pleasures like soaking in the bathtub, reading a magazine or going for a run.
Self-love is meeting yourself exactly where you are at with compassion and love. Outside validation might feel great for a second but it will quickly pass. Allow space for your growth and remind yourself of your worth by investing in your health, your head, and your heart.

Competitive college programs, unpaid internships for industry entry, mountains of homework, extra curricular activities, struggles within their social group, family and home life troubles.
